Durable, easy to install, and able to withstand environmental agents, ELAP HLS and HPS series linear wire transducers are the ideal solution for industrial applications requiring high accuracy and long measuring lengths. Typical applications for Elap wire transducers include X-Y tables, hydraulic and pneumatic cylinders, packing machines, and wood, glass, and marble, sheet-working machines. The transducer consists of an encoder or potentiometer operated by a wire-reel mechanism and employs stainless steel wire coated with nylon. The HPS series potentiometers provide an analogue signal proportional to the linear displacement of the wire. The HLS series encoders provide a number of pulses proportional to the linear displacement of the wire.
Elap HLS Wire Encoders are tough and resist a variety of environmental agents. They are easy to install and ideal for industrial applications that require high accuracy on measurements up to 12 meters.
HLS wire encoders are available with strokes ranging from 1000 to 12000 mm, and resolutions ranging from 0.04 to 1 mm. Push-pull and line driver output signals are available. Series HLS-S, HLS-M, and HLS-L types differ depending on mechanical size and measuring stroke.
Elap HPS Wire Potentiometers are tough and resist a variety of environmental agents. They are easy to install and are ideal for industrial applications that require high accuracy on measurements up to 8 meters.
The HPS series, with potentiometer output, is supplied with strokes ranging from 250 to 8000 mm, ±0.02% linearity, 5 KOhm resistance and infinite resolution. The HPS-MA type provides 4-20 mA output signal. Series HPS-S, HPS-M, and HPS-L types differ depending on mechanical size and measuring stroke.
