G.H. Binroth carries a wide selection of encoders, including various types of shafted and hollow bore incremental encoders, rotary encoders and geared potentiometers. Linear encoder products include Elap self-guiding transducers and Elcis wire-actuated transducers. Each of these top brands can withstand tremendous strain during use, with the Elcis UL-listed explosion-proof incremental encoders in particular being able to withstand explosive atmospheres caused by gas or dust.

Widely employed on industrial operating machines, linear motion potentiometers are specially designed to measure and control linear displacements in absolute mode. Since they are absolute detecting systems, potentiometers keep the actual position data at power off: therefore they are peculiarly suited to be employed on machines where it is difficult to reset the axis zero point at the system power on, for instance when material machining lasts for a long period. ELAP offers a variety of mechanical sizes, strokes, resistive values and mounting fittings to meet any application requirement.
